About 905 miles
905 miles came about during a conversation at a party.
“I’ve always wanted to cycle from John O’Groats to Land’s End for charity”, said I.
“I’ll do it with you!”, said Peter.
And thus it was born. September 2009, Peter and I will be cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats. It’s about 905 miles, depending upon which route you take. Obviously it could be much further and I reckon it could be slightly less if you went down the motorways…but we won’t be doing that.
So, this blog will follow this journey. The 9 or 10 months from now (October 2008) to whenever we start and then the journey itself.
We’ll be doing this for charity. It’d be pretty stupid to just want to do something like this, wouldn’t it. So, I’ll be raising money for Cancer Research and The Rosemere Foundation. Peter will be raising money for, well I’m not sure who, he hasn’t told me!
Feck. I obviously can’t get out of this now.
